How to wash a cap


Caps are a highlight of casual dressing. They attract a lot of dirt and grime and they are a bit difficult to wash in a machine.

Just tossing your cap in the washing machine is not the right way to clean it. Follow this step-by-step process to wash your cap the right way.
Be careful not to use hot water. It may lead to fading.

Step 1:

Make a bath. Take a tub and fill it with lukewarm water.

Step 2:

Add. Mix some Surf Excel liquid detergent in the warm water.

Step 3:

Dip. Soak the hat in the solution for 20 minutes to allow the cleaner to do its work. If it has a stain, soak it longer; up to a couple of hours if necessary.

Step 4:

Scrub. With a toothbrush, scrub the stained areas. Be careful around stitched patterns and logos. Wash it under cold, running water.

Step 5:

Final move. Air dry your cap

    These should only need a light dusting or brushing once a year to keep them clean.
